Featured Project: Everything but the Kitchen Sink for Two High-Rise Campus Living Projects

One of the strongest sectors in the real estate market right now is campus housing, and no one is doing it better than Chicago-based Campus Acquisitions. And over the past few months, they entrusted Kitchen Sink Studios to create a full leasing and marketing package for their properties in Tucson and College Station, Texas that included...just about everything but the kitchen sink.

We started each project with architectural plans for the 15-story buildings. And that's it. Kitchen Sink was charged with helping to name the properties, creation of brand identity, development of computer animations, production of illustrative marketing videos, design of print collateral and development of mobile-friendly web sites for each of the two under-construction projects.

First came the names, and we took into consideration the fact that the University of Arizona and Texas A&M environments are VERY different. For Tucson, the name had to reflect sort of an urban-aspirational feel to attract the kind of students who would want to live in the finest student housing in the area. And for College Station, we had to weigh a similar demographic while taking into consideration the "Texas" feel of College Station and the property's location in the town's Northgate district.

For Tucson, the name "Level" was selected, and for College Station, the project was named "Rise at Northgate." The brand identities soon followed.

While the branding process was taking place, the studio's 3D team set about bringing the properties to life through stunning renderings that would convey the scope and quality of each property.

We then worked to develop collateral and leasing materials for the properties that featured the new brand identity as well as the animations, mixed in with lifestyle photography that helped create a vision that students and their parents could relate to.

And, we translated all the work done on branding, identity and imagery into mobile-friendly web sites (here are links to Level and to Rise at Northgate) that include interactive floor plans and videos that show students what each project will be like once completed.

We'll be working with Campus Acquisitions on several other projects across the United States with a similar scope of work. Our team always enjoys the opportunity to start from scratch on a project and create something that brings a vision to life, and these projects were no exception.

Featured Project: Marketing for Ryan Companies/Hayden Ferry Lakeside

Our latest Featured Project is the creation of new marketing materials for a Phase III office building at Hayden Ferry Lakeside in Tempe.

The Kitchen Sink Studios team used an outstanding design by DAVIS Architects and an existing computer model (above) to create four compelling renderings to be used for direct marketing and pre-leasing of the new tower. Some significant revisions to the design of the building and lobby (including raising the ceiling by four feet) were accomplished on the fly, making the project a bit more challenging.

The resulting photo-realistic renderings provide an absolutely stop-on depiction of what the tower will look like when complete, allowing Ryan Companies to attract large commercial tenants. Additional enhancements in the future could include adding a tenant name to the tower for a more direct marketing approach.

Molly Ryan Carson, Vice President of Development at Ryan Companies, said of our work "We will definitely keep you in mind for future projects...working with you and your team has been a wonderful experience. I would love to do it again."

We always enjoy taking something that's in the conceptual phase and bringing it to life so that a story can be told. With the photorealistic marketing materials we created, we believe Ryan Companies will have great success in finding tenants for this exciting new project.

Kitchen Sink Studios' Work Featured on Cover of AZRE Magazine

Kitchen Sink Studios, Inc.'s visual depiction of the Rockefeller Group Chandler 101 was used in the cover story on the project in the January/February issue of AZRE Magazine.

Rockefeller Group Chandler 101 is a 24-acre mixed use development that will include three office buildings, a 300-room hotel, a conference center and significant retail space. Kitchen Sink Studios provided Rockefeller Group with a stunning interactive web site that provides shows the project's look and feel, provides key project demographic information, and serves as an important tool for the leasing team as they identify potential tenants for the project.

The profile of the mixed-use project, located near the intersections of the 202 and 101 Freeways in Chandler, featured several renderings and animations the studio developed to bring the project's vision to life. Part of the team's work on the interactive web site included the creation of renderings and animation that visually depict the overall look and feel of the project, including its superior architecture and attention to the creation of a mixed-use environment.

Congratulations to Rockefeller Group on the great profile in AZRE Magazine! We are proud to have helped bring the project to life through the use of our animation and web development expertise.

Featured Project: Artesana

This week's Featured Project is Artesana, an exceptional hospitality resort and residential development project in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico being developed by Artesana Rosewood Residences and marketed by DMB Realty.

Artesana is a stunning project located in a beautiful part of historic Mexico. San Miguel de Allende is a colonial artist's village in the shadows of the natural spires of La Parroquia, with a historic and quaint downtown where the project is being constructed. Rosewood's vision for the project is to create luxurious homes and a resort that capture the character of the historic village while providing all the amenities that could be desired.

Kitchen Sink Studios was tasked with creating marketing and sales materials that would capture this ambitious vision and bring the project to life. The studio developed an interactive DVD presentation branding the project through music, video and animation.

The studio's work shows potential buyers how old-world Mexico and its picturesque natural environment can combine with modern-day luxury and incredible design to create a truly unique and exceptional living environment.

The project was a perfect example of how the Kitchen Sink team combines its capabilities in renderings and animation with its creativity in developing superior marketing materials for some great results for our clients.
